Career Development: A Field Guide to Health Insurance
For a freelancer, artist, small business owner, or other self-employed person, navigating the often opaque health insurance landscape can be a stressful experience. In this workshop, Dylan Maysick, a Chicago-based independent insurance broker, covers the basics of how plans are structured. Maysick gives an overview of the Affordable Care Act, discusses how to select a plan that works for your specific needs, and gives insight as to when to set up insurance as a business.
