Career Development: Art of the Studio Visit with Lolita Cros

 

A studio visit can be the first step toward a successful relationship with a collector, gallery, or curator. Explore the Art of the Studio Visit with independent curator Lolita Cros, who brings her experience in moderating talks between artists and exhibiting artworks to an intimate discussion. Cros reveals how to put your best foot forward when hosting visitors, showing your work, and discussing your practice.

Participants can sign up for a studio visit with Ysabel Pinyol Blasi, curatorial director at Mana Contemporary. During their visit, artists hone the practical techniques discussed during the talk and receive individualized feedback.

LOLITA CROS

Born in Paris, Lolita Cros is an independent curator living and working in New York City. Cros is known for creating projects and exhibitions that combine work by established and emerging artists. In 2017, she became the curator and consultant for the women’s club, the Wing. Artists featured in the Salon at the Wing include Marilyn Minter, Jenny Holzer, and Senga Nengudi, among many others.
