Career Development: Lifecycle of an Artwork
A chat with experts from a top tier auction house and gallery make the murky art market seem less opaque. Chanler Rutherfurd, associate specialist from Sotheby’s, and Cecilia Weaver, Director of LX Arts, lay out the life cycle of an artwork: how works can move down the path from your studio through to galleries, collectors, auction houses, and finally to institutional collections. This masterclass demystifies the primary and secondary markets.
