Jonah Bokaer on Building a Diversified Practice and Career
Join American choreographer and media artist Jonah Bokaer for a discussion of his multidisciplinary practice and the events and influences that led to the expansion of his career and practice.
Jonah Bokaer was trained as a dancer at a young age, and was recruited to perform for the Merce Cunningham Dance Company when he was only 18. Since then, he has diversified his career through a broad range of collaborations, creating more than thirty choreographic works with Robert Wilson and other artists. Additionally, Bokaer established the Jonah Bokaer Foundation, to support the development of new performance works.
*Preceding the discussion, attendees are invited to join an open rehearsal beginning at 5:30pm.
