Karole Armitage
The prolific career of choreographer Karole Armitage spans more than four decades. Her works have been seen around the world in settings ranging from the Paris Opera Ballet to Madonna’s music videos. Known as the “punk ballerina,” she is artistic director of the New York-based Armitage Gone! Dance Company, based at Mana Contemporary.
Kyle Marshall
Named “New to Watch” by Dance Europe magazine, Kyle Marshall is an emerging choreographer who sees the dancing body as a container of history, an igniter of social reform, and a site of celebration. Recently, Marshall won the Dance and Performance “Bessie” Jury Award. His company, Kyle Marshall Choreography, is a current participant in Mana’s Performance Residency Program.
